YALC postponed to 2021

The YA Literature Convention (YALC) organisers have announced that the event will be postponed to 23rd - 25th July 2021, running alongside next year's London Film & Comic Con.

Announcing the change on Twitter, a YALC statement read, "With the COVID19 issue still being very much in our lives we have had to make the incredibly hard decision to postpone July's YALC until next year. First off, thank you for being patient and understanding as things have unfolded with the continuing fluidity of this exceptional situation.

"We know that this will be a disappointment for all, just as much as it is for us all that are involved in making the decision but we know it is the right thing to do for the safety of you all."

The new date for YALC is 23rd - 25th July 2021. "This is also the date for the London Film & Comic Con which means that you still get the fun of both events as part of your entrance ticket. All tickets purchased for YALC already will be automatically transferred to the new date."

If you cannot attend the new date in July, YALC advised to contact them on shop@showmastersevents.com. "We will issue you a voucher for the amount of money you have paid. That voucher will be good to be used up until 26th July 2021."

For those seeking refunds for their tickets, a YALC spokesperson clarified: "Refunds aren't being refused, they will just take some time. Please refer to the T's and C's on the website for additional details."
